The ARFID Clinic

Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is a distinctive condition that requires specialist support and targeted treatment. Our outpatient ARFID service, or Feeding Clinic, offers comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and individually tailored therapy for children and young people with a range of avoidant or restrictive eating behaviours. We also offer a variety of consultation and training options.

There are a number of different reasons why children and teens develop ARFID. The causes and effects of this disorder on health, development and well-being can vary considerably between individuals. We work closely with young people and their families to derive personalised formulations, and to maximise positive outcomes by selecting the most relevant treatment methods.
